"People are gonna think you're a tomgirl"
Will was riding Gigi's pink bike in the driveway, just goofing around. Gigi goes, "Will! People are going to think you're a tomgirl!"

Gigi is seven. She is mostly toothless and adorable. She is total ham and cheese, just like her old man. In the van tonight, she was busting out some silly song and making up the words (and usually they rhyme), when she suddenly just stopped and laughed, and said, "I'm so weird."

Catherine rocking my old school Sonics "Top of the Dome Club" t-shirt from 1980. My dad and I had season tickets in the 300 level of the Kingdome. I was going through some boxes of stuff that I stashed away from when I was a kid, and I pulled out this gem. Catherine grew up a Houston Rocket fan, but converted. Just in time to see the Sonics get stolen away by some snake oil salesman from Oklahoma. But we all know it was an inside job, don't we?
I dropped $67 taking my family of four to see "Up." Hearing my kids laugh like that was worth it. It's an amazing film.
I can't believe that I teared up over a cartoon. Haven't done that since "The Simpsons Movie".

Bill, I have a 7 year old daughter as well and I'm alternately struck by her innocence and her awareness! It's almost like I can see her internal debate between just being a kid and inevitable maturation. I know your kids are venturing into very mature territory w/ all that you're going through, but sometimes I think kids are more suited to difficult times. They see things in this straight-forward way, while still maintaining that pure kid-humor...it's great medicine. Hope you're all taking good care!
